This will be my first blog post since moving from Pittsburgh to Philadelphia this year! This past September I had the opportunity to attend one of the fashion shows during Philly Fashion Week (PFW) 2018. It was really exciting to see the difference between fashion weeks in both cities.
Last month I was in need of some serious inspiration, so I made my way over to the Carnegie Museum of Art. It’s one of my favorite places in Pittsburgh and I can always count on a creativity pick-me-up when I’m there. This time I was there to see a specific exhibit: Iris van Herpen: Transforming Fashion.
Last month I sent out my first promo mailer. Since this was my first promo, I went with something simple that showed what I do overall as a photographer.
Many photographers think very negatively about using cell phones to take photographs. They think since everyone has a cell phone that everyone thinks they are photographers. This may be true in some cases, but who cares!
I recently went to the Carnegie Museum of Art for my Fashion History class. While there, I had the opportunity to see an incredible photography exhibit: She Who Tells a Story.
I am currently researching in preparation for my thesis class that I am taking fall of 2015. The concept I will be working with investigates recycling and reusing materials with a connection to fashion.
It’s been way too long since I shared a blog with all of you! But in celebration of Earth Month, I’m going to share a fun photography opportunity I had back in August 2021 while I was working at QVC.
